ASAFOETIDA POWDER |Ingredients: rice flour, gum arabic, asafoetida, turmeric, wheat flour. ASAFOETIDA powder is used to flavour foods like vegetable and lentil dishes and is used in traditional Indian Cuisine giving a flavour similar to garlic. ASAFOETIDA is used specifically in Ayurvedic cooking tradition for health and wellbeing because it contains the 6 tastes required daily by the body: sweet, sour, salty, bitter, pungent and astringent. When the body receives these tastes daily this prevents cravings and keeps the body/mind balanced.
